AMIIN curates solo and small-group journeys that offer an opportunity to reset from the everyday, immerse yourself in local culture, and transform both the way you see the world and your sense of self. Our journeys are designed to uncover the deeper narratives of each destination, exploring themes of language, craft and design, wellness, and spirituality.
Each journey incorporates opportunities for personal reflection before, during, and after travel, supporting an inner voyage of growth and self-discovery. These experiences are created for travelers who seek more than sightseeing—those who travel not simply to see the world, but to be transformed by it.

AMIIN Founder, Ameena Gupta, has always been passionate about pursuing immersive, educational and experiential travel. From living and studying in France with a local family, experiencing Israel and Palestine through the lens of human rights organizations, developing a women's savings cooperative in a Kenyan village, studying and working across Hong Kong, Paris and south India, the list goes on. These travel experiences, though diverse, are connected by the single thread of their immersive and transformative nature that has shaped her worldview and personal growth.
Once she began her full-time career in strategy consulting back in Toronto, she found that there were a lack of opportunities for this type of travel available. Finding herself burnt out and confused about her path forward, she planned her own month-long solo journey to India and Sri Lanka to pursue the things she truly wanted to do – experience authentic culture through local volunteering, challenge herself by learning to surf and take the time to reflect on who she truly was. What she found was clarity, a renewed sense of purpose and a new perspective on life.
AMIIN was born as an answer to this - for those who seek journeys that help them pause to reset, immerse authentically and be guided through their own personal transformation.
AMIIN strives to support and uphold the traditions of the local communities we travel to, while creating opportunities for the next generation of global citizens. A portion of all journey profits will support our two key programs: the Global Community Impact Project and our Global Experiential Learning Fund.
